P5K-Premium: Dang AHCI
I have replicated it here as i think my new question below is probably more suited to the hard drive gurus! Is this a good thing to update the ich9 driver if the installation succeeds with the Q-Connector Make connection quick and accurate! I've just done that because of the devices boot order.

Brand and product names mentioned are trademarks of their respective companies. Have you tried leaving it default and installing XP without loading additional drivers? What worked for me was setting the memory timings manually and its been stable since then.
Hi all, I had recently got hold of an Asus P5K Pdemium to play with, and was putting together a new rig for a client when I hit a game breaker: I don't know what the pc is doing.
Or most of you leave it to IDE default? Please check with your supplier for exact offers. I dont have the premium board so perhaps thats one of the advantages with the achi.

Ive even gone as far as installing IDE to Sata adapters on my burner and dvd burner. Apr 6, at 7: Does it sound right? It effectively transfers heat generated by the critical components to the other side of the specially designed PCB printed circuit board for effective heat dissipation. It's not as if you can replace it without RMA'ing the motherboard, RMA process in the UK with Asus takes between 3 to 6 weeks it's absolutly disgusting because once it has been recieved they send it abroad to be pp5k.
Everything seems to be working fine. It reduces input ripple current and output ripple voltage, which keeps CPU and power module from suffering the risk of high power stress.
I set the timings manually because research on the net for the blue screens i got said that it might be a memory problem. With the highest speed up to MHz, DDR2 memory provides great performance for 3D graphics and other memory demanding applications. Can anyone shed any light on this issue? RAID is for sure broke.
